The Victorian Goldfields Railway operates a heritage railway between Castlemaine and Maldon in central Victoria. We are looking for more volunteers to help us operate our first-class service. You'll get to meet lots of interesting people from all over the world, be part of a great team working toward a common goal, and have lots of fun.

Our operation is based on the early 20th century, when steam train travel was at its peak and was the ultimate luxury. The role of Steward is to pamper our first-class guests in our fantastic, original, 1900's carriages. Serve a drink, have a chat, take a photo, and generally have a good time. At the end of the day, our guests predominantly say that they have had a great day; this means our staff have done a great job and as a result, we can go home feeling very satisfied.
