The ABCN Foundation aims to level the playing field and empower high-potential Australian young people from low socio-economic (SES) backgrounds to achieve their potential. We do this through the provision of our unique three-year financial and corporate mentoring support scholarship program called Accelerate.
Your gift of $5 will directly support a female scholarship for this unique high impact program.
Current scholar Jasmine says: 'I have always had a dream to do well at school and go on to university to study a medical degree. But with the challenges in my life, I wasn’t sure how I would get there. My mentor came along at just the right time to help me get back on track. Since receiving the scholarship, I’ve been able to cut back on some of my work hours without worrying about finances. My mentor also helped me clarify my goals and focus on the things that matter and now I have a much better picture of what I’d like to do and how to get there. I started my medical science degree this year and have been getting high distinctions which I’m really proud of. The next step will be medical school where I’d like to focus on neurology and endocrinology. I could not have done this if it wasn’t for my ABCN scholarship. Thank you for changing my life, and so many other students like me.'
