A platypus adoption makes the perfect gift for an animal lover and it's available here through your workplace giving program!

Set up a monthly donation of at least $20, or a one-off donation of at least $180. Then email workplacegiving@wwf.org.au to tell us the address where you would like your adoption pack sent. As soon as your donation is visible to us in Good Company we will send the adoption pack - directly to you or to your gift recipient.

Many Australian animals are unusual in their own way. But the platypus is perhaps the most remarkable of them all. They’re mammals that lay eggs and have a bill and flippers, which is an amazing evolutionary feat. But in the last 150 to 200 years, they’ve come under threat.

The changing climate, new dams, the over-extraction of water from rivers, landclearing, attacks by foxes and dogs, pollution and suburban sprawl present serious new threats to the platypus.

The platypus is facing a silent extinction. Take action now to protect them and their habitat.

Adopting a platypus today will help research and monitor their populations across eastern states and implement a unique rewilding program to reintroduce healthy platypus back into Sydney’s Royal National Park.

We want to send you a cuddly platypus plush toy! For tax reasons we are not permitted to give you the toy in return for a tax-deductible donation, but there are 2 ways we can make this work for you:

1. If your employer has signed up to support our platypus adoption program, you will receive the toy with your adoption. You can email us on workplacegiving@wwf.org.au to check.

OR

2. You can buy the toy for $15. This $15 will not be a tax deductible donation and this option is only available as part of this adoption package. Please email us on workplacegiving@wwf.org.au and we will arrange this for you.
