What is a fundraising page?

A fundraising page is a special webpage with a URL that you can use to support a charity; an online collection tin.

Ask your team or colleagues to sponsor you by simply sharing the link to your fundraising page.

Anyone who makes a donation to your fundraising page can also leave a message of support.

You can support or start a fundraiser for any charity on yes4good who are registered to receive donations.

What can I fundraise for?

The fundraising pages allow you to get support from your team or colleagues for specific charities or events  . The charity must be registered on yes4Good and then you can set-up a fundraiser and ask your colleagues to sponsor you with a pre-tax donation.

You could also participate and fundraise for events like the Melbourne Marathon, Movember or the Sun Herald City2Surf. Please contact community@optus.com.au to set up an event page.

What is a fundraising event?

A fundraising event enables you to collectively fundraise towards a team total (ie set up a Fundraising event) if you require multiple fundraising pages which will all contribute towards the Fundraising Event tally.

You can set up a Fundraising Event for any charity(s) on yes4good who are registered to receive donations.

What can I fundraise for?

Fundraising pages allow you to raise funds for a charity via support from your colleagues and family and friends. For example, you could participate and fundraise for events like the Melbourne Marathon, Movember or the Sun Herald City2Surf or you may choose to set a personal challenge unrelated to a specific charity event.

Yes you can and if you’re feeling extra generous you can also top up the value of the voucher with your credit card.

Are donations to fundraisers tax deductible?

Yes. This is because all fundraising pages on yes4good are connected to a registered GoodCompany charity partner.

I want to Fundraise for a charity but I don’t see them on the website. What is the process for adding them?

Charities must meet certain criteria to join the program including Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) Item 1. You can check to see if a charity is DGR item 1 by searching the Australian Business Register here.

If a charity you’re passionate about is not registered with GoodCompany and they meet the criteria, please let us know if you are willing to champion their cause via advocacy, donations, volunteering or fundraising. Details of the charity can be emailed through to support@GoodCompany.org

There is an annual fee to register with GoodCompany. Details can be found here www.GoodCompany.org

Can people outside of Optus donate to my fundraising page?

Yes. Simply set up your fundraising page and then SHARE the link with your friends and family. Family and friends will be directed to the website where they will be able to contribute via credit card payment.
